Renewables: A Key Driver for Clean Energy Transition - Solar PV Rooftop Workshop & Training

EU-GCC Clean Energy Technology Network in partnership with the Authority for Electricity Regulations (AER) and the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), as well as in association with the Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA) and the Dii - Desert Energy, are organising an EU-GCC event entitled "Renewables: A Key Driver for Clean Energy Transition - Solar PV Rooftop Workshop & Training”. 
The two day event will take place in Muscat, Oman on 13-14 December 2017.

The two-day event will bring together project developers, rooftop owners, financial institution, technology leaders, industry advisories, financial experts, government representatives, policy makers and entrepreneurs to debate the key challenges and opportunities in rooftop segment in policies, project construction, engineering, technology advancement and investors perspective in commercial, industrial and residential space.

The aim of the experts workshop, taking place the first day, is to foster partnerships by bringing together high-level stakeholders from the EU (European Union) and the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) to discuss Solar PV Roof top technologies and options suitable for the region, exchange best practices and lesson learned and advance collaboration between EU and GCC actors.

The training workshop to be held on day 2 of the event intends to provide an overview of solar rooftop options. It aims to help policymakers and energy experts to identify opportunities for implementing Solar PV Rooftop projects and give them a background on the key issues to be addressed when developing suitable domestic, commercial and industrial solar projects including O&M, commercial contracts and smart grids and data management.
